A new frozen yogurt shop is aiming to scoop its way onto the Atlanta Beltline, with Olive's Frozen Yogurt targeting a spring 2027 opening inside the Common Ground development at 550 Somerset Terrace NE. The concept is named after a dog, and its arrival adds another name to the growing list of food businesses eyeing the popular Eastside Trail corridor.
Co-owner Shoba Zaidi confirmed plans for the shop, according to WhatNow, which reported the spring 2027 target timeline. The outlet describes Olive's as a new frozen yogurt concept heading to both the Beltline and the Common Ground development in Atlanta.
The name itself carries a personal touch: Olive's Frozen Yogurt is named after Zaidi's dog, Oliver, per the same report.
Common Ground's Growing Food Lineup
Olive's won't be arriving to an empty development. Spread Bagelry and Fit for a Cookie are also heading to Common Ground, according to the same WhatNow reporting, joining a mix of food-focused tenants at the Beltline-adjacent property.
Common Ground has drawn food and retail attention for years. Back in 2018, Bazati opened inside the development along the Beltline's Eastside Trail, as reported by Rough Draft Atlanta, an early sign of the corridor's appeal to new restaurant and shop concepts.
What's Still Unknown
No precise opening date, construction timeline, or lease status has been made public beyond the spring 2027 target. Menu offerings, pricing, and interior design details for Olive's Frozen Yogurt also remain unclear for now, leaving Beltline regulars to wait for more concrete updates as the opening date approaches.
