According to KSNV, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, and motorists were advised to seek an alternate route while westbound Spring Mountain lanes were blocked at Decatur. Clark County approved a $5.7 million contract in August to repave Spring Mountain Road between Rainbow Boulevard and Decatur Boulevard, adding wider sidewalks and smart traffic technology as part of the broader Inspiring Spring Mountain Redevelopment Plan, according to West Vegas HQ. In late 2025, the county's Department of Public Works also installed a dedicated pedestrian crossing on Spring Mountain near Arville Street, equipped with pedestrian-activated flashing beacons, high-visibility markings, and spot lighting designed to safely connect Chinatown Plaza and Shanghai Plaza, per Clark County.
