According to the National Weather Service in Portland, clouds will thicken again Friday night as temperatures fall to around 55 degrees. There is only a 10% chance of rain overnight, so Friday evening plans should remain mostly dry.
Saturday Brings Rain And A Thunderstorm Chance
Saturday is the weekend weather pivot, with rain possible between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms from 2 to 5 p.m. Rain is expected to return afterward, and the chance of precipitation is 90% overall.
Temperatures will peak near 67 degrees before slipping through the afternoon. Any thunderstorms should be isolated, but the unsettled weather could complicate outdoor plans, especially later in the day.
Showers Linger Sunday Before Sunshine Returns
Sunday stays mostly cloudy, with a 50% chance of rain before 5 p.m. The high should again reach about 67 degrees, while southwest winds increase to between 5 and 8 mph.
The forecast turns noticeably brighter Monday, when patchy morning fog should give way to mostly sunny skies and a high near 70. Tuesday rises to about 76 degrees, followed by sunny and warmer conditions Wednesday and Thursday, when highs could reach 82 and 85 degrees, respectively.
