A public star party is planned for Oct. 3, 2026, at Eagle Lake Observatory.
Soup makers who signed up will receive four free event tickets with their submissions and a chance to win the Golden Ladle. Taste testers can sample entries and vote without entering a soup.
Ticket Prices
Day-of-event tickets cost $15 and include the opportunity to sample soups and help select the Golden Ladle winner.
Baylor Regional Park offers outdoor recreation opportunities. The park also has camping.
Park history and visitation
According to the Metropolitan Council, Baylor Regional Park is approximately 200 acres on Eagle Lake and includes hiking trails, a swimming beach, a 50-site campground, group camping, picnic shelters and an 18-hole disc golf course. The Metropolitan Council says the park's current long-range plan updates an original 1975 plan and a 1979 amendment. The council's 2024 use estimates indicate just over 100,000 annual users.
