The latest update is wetter than Monday’s outlook, with rainfall totals nudged higher and a clearer warning about localized flooding. Hoodline’s earlier forecast had already flagged Tuesday as the week’s first soaking, but low-lying roads and clogged drains now deserve extra attention.
Wednesday Offers A Brief Break
Wednesday should be mostly cloudy and drier in Boston, with a high near 71 and only a small chance of rain during the day. Showers return Wednesday night, then Thursday brings a 90% chance of rain, a high near 79 and a growing risk of thunderstorms.
Forecasters are watching Thursday for a few potentially strong storms across southern New England, although no watches, warnings or advisories are posted now. After that, Friday looks mostly sunny near 80, followed by a cooler Saturday and Sunday in the low 70s; Labor Day should reach about 75 with just a slight late-day shower chance.
