The rain should become more widespread through the morning and remain likely into the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast is a sharper turn from Hoodline's earlier outlook, with updated timing showing a wetter and gustier day for the city.
Gusty Showers Dominate Sunday
Northwest winds will run between 13 and 20 mph, with occasional gusts as high as 35 mph. Rainfall should generally stay light, with roughly a tenth to a quarter-inch possible in Baltimore, though wet roads and sudden gusts could complicate Sunday errands and outdoor plans.
Showers become less likely Sunday night, but a few could linger before 4 a.m. Monday. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, temperatures will fall to around 59 degrees, and northwest gusts could still reach 31 mph; the weather service also says tidal flooding remains a concern in parts of the wider Chesapeake region through tonight.
Clouds Give Way To A Midweek Warmup
Monday should stay mostly cloudy but largely dry, with a high near 71 and lighter northwest winds. Tuesday brings partial sunshine and a high around 75, followed by mostly sunny skies Wednesday near 78 degrees.
The warmest stretch arrives Thursday, when Baltimore could reach about 82 under mostly sunny skies. Friday stays fairly mild near 79, although a slight chance of rain showers returns after 2 p.m., while Saturday turns cooler near 71 with another chance of afternoon showers.
