Before making off with the bicycle, the Pacific Beach suspect spent about a minute petting the homeowner's Golden Retriever, the station's report shows. Rather than raising an alarm, the dog appeared to enjoy the attention while the burglar prepared to leave with the stolen bike in tow.
The suspect was last seen wearing a blue-and-white hat, a gray shirt, blue shorts and orange athletic shoes, and was carrying a black-and-blue backpack, per the same account. No arrest, recovery of the bicycle, or filed charges have been confirmed in connection with that case.
