According to National Weather Service, San Jose is starting Friday mostly cloudy and around 61 degrees, but the gray will give way to sunshine as the morning unfolds. Temperatures are expected to climb to about 86 degrees this afternoon. It is a warm start to a cooler, windier weekend across the South Bay.
Sunny Friday Before Temperatures Dip
Friday afternoon will turn clearer, with a moderate onshore breeze. Skies should see stratus return to most terminals overnight. The National Weather Service says temperatures across the region will stay near seasonal averages through next week.
Saturday Brings Stronger Winds
Saturday will be sunny but cooler, with a high near 79 degrees and northwest winds gusting as high as 25 mph. Winds will remain active Saturday night, when gusts could reach 35 mph and temperatures drop to about 54 degrees. Residents with patio furniture, decorations or other lightweight outdoor items may want to secure them before the evening.
Temperatures Stay Generally Stable Through Next Week
Temperatures should remain generally stable near or slightly below seasonal averages through next week.
The marine layer and overnight stratus could return at times. Otherwise, the forecast should be uneventful — at least by Bay Area weather standards.
