According to FOX5 Vegas, the Town Square shack will run daily from 10 a.m. to midnight once it opens its doors. The chain traces its beginnings to a hot dog cart in Manhattan’s Madison Square Park, where it supported the park conservancy’s first art installation. That park-centered origin story offers a contrast with the company’s current footprint: Town Square is being added as a neighborhood restaurant in a retail and dining complex, rather than as a stand in a public park.
Opening Day Perks and a Charitable Twist
Shoppers and burger fans who show up on opening day will walk away with more than just lunch. The station's report notes that visitors will receive complimentary custom Shake Shack tote bags while supplies last, a small giveaway meant to mark the milestone.
There's also a charitable component built into the launch. Shake Shack plans to donate $1 from every sandwich sold on opening day to Three Square, the food bank that, per its own site, describes its mission as serving the Southern Nevada community. The Town Square fundraiser also follows an earlier Shake Shack-Three Square partnership in the valley. When the chain opened its Henderson restaurant in 2017, it planned to give the food bank 5% of sales from its Pie Oh My concrete dessert. That previous opening-day-era promotion tied a specific menu item to local hunger relief, while the new launch pledges a dollar per sandwich sold on opening day.
The donation comes as Three Square describes food insecurity as a significant regional challenge. The food bank’s 2025 figures say more than 397,000 people in Southern Nevada—about one in six residents—struggle with food insecurity, and that it distributed more than 48 million meals that year. The organization serves four counties: Clark, Lincoln, Esmeralda and Nye.
