Cincinnati is waking to cloudy skies Monday, with showers still possible through late morning. The bigger concern is water, not heat: a Flood Watch remains in effect through noon as additional rain moves over already saturated ground.
The National Weather Service’s Wilmington office says showers and thunderstorms could bring locally heavy rain across the area this morning. Earlier rainfall and incoming showers have affected the region, while the National Weather Service advises avoiding low-lying areas, highway dips and underpasses if water begins collecting.
Morning Rain Gradually Fades
Rain chances should ease as the morning progresses, with cloudy periods and a northeast wind of 3 to 9 mph accompanying the cooler-feeling setup.
Cooler, Mostly Gray Weather Takes Over
Tuesday looks mostly cloudy with a high near 74, followed by another slight chance of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday. Wednesday’s temperatures should remain below normal, with a 20% chance of showers, before the pattern gradually dries out.
A drier stretch is expected into the weekend.
