Rain chances drop sharply after late morning, though clouds will hang around through the afternoon. Friday night should be quieter, with a low near 64 and areas of fog developing after 3 a.m.
Heat Returns Before Another Round Of Storms
Saturday starts foggy, then brings showers and storms from Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening, with hot, humid conditions.
Cooler, Wetter Pattern Arrives Monday
The unsettled pattern lingers into Monday and Tuesday, with cooler conditions arriving by midweek. Showers may linger into Wednesday across eastern counties. Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny, breezy and very warm, with a high around 93 degrees.
Drivers should avoid flooded roads, underpasses and other low spots Friday morning, and never attempt to cross water covering a roadway. Outdoor plans may improve this afternoon, but the weekend forecast still calls for periodic storm checks, especially from Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening.
