The win was first reported by WFLA, whose Ashley Suter detailed how the Panda Magic machine, part of Aristocrat Gaming's Dragon Link progressive series, delivered the payout at the sprawling Tampa resort. Hard Rock said the winning streak further reinforces the property's recognition as the “luckiest casino in the U.S.” for the second consecutive year, according to the station's report.
That “luckiest casino” label isn't just marketing bluster — it traces back to a Casinos.com study that, per CDC Gaming, analyzed 830,250 TripAdvisor reviews and found that 46.4% referenced winning or luck-related terms, enough to earn the Tampa property the title for the second year running in May 2026. The same report notes the casino paid out $2.8 billion across 928,568 jackpots in 2025 alone, including 427 payouts of $100,000 or more.
Every Seven-Figure Hit This Year Traces Back to One Machine Line
What stands out about 2026's jackpot tally is the pattern behind it: every single million-dollar slot win at the property this year has landed on an Aristocrat Gaming Dragon Link machine, with payouts ranging from $1.03 million to $1.77 million, according to the Casino City Times. Dragon Link links multiple themed machines — Panda Magic, Genghis Khan, Autumn Moon among them — so wagers from many players across the bank pool into one shared, seven-figure progressive prize, as Hoodline previously explained in its coverage of the game's mechanics.
Just weeks earlier, on Aug. 2, an Ocala man won $1,305,986 on a $50 wager playing Dragon Link Genghis Khan at the same casino, per the Action Network.
