A 48-year-old man from St. Joseph was killed Monday night after being thrown from his motorcycle on Interstate 70 near Boonville, in a crash that also involved a Subaru driven by a 29-year-old woman from Seattle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to KMMO, the man was driving east on Interstate 70 when his motorcycle overturned along the highway west of Boonville. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle crash near mile marker 99 on I-70 west of Boonville around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Per KMMO's report, the Subaru struck the motorcycle driver after he was thrown from the bike, and the Subaru then came to a controlled stop. The station's report notes that the Seattle woman driving the Subaru was not injured during the crash.
