A 27-year-old man who reportedly managed a Woodward Avenue clothing store was found fatally shot inside the business Tuesday evening, just north of Detroit's Grand Boulevard. Detroit Police were called to the store, Goodfellas Wear, around 6:01 p.m. to assist emergency medical services with entry, and medics confirmed the man had been shot and killed inside.
The shooting happened inside Goodfellas Wear at 11318 Woodward Avenue, a storefront in Detroit's North End neighborhood situated just north of East Grand Boulevard, according to commercial real estate listings reviewed by LoopNet. As first reported by Metro Detroit News, the man was reportedly the store's manager, and Detroit Police say the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain preliminary. No suspect description or motive has been released.
The stretch of Woodward Avenue near Grand Boulevard falls within the Detroit Police Department's 3rd Precinct, which is headquartered just blocks from the scene at 2875 West Grand Boulevard. That proximity places initial patrol and scene response duties squarely with officers already stationed nearby.

Detroit Police are asking anyone with information to come forward, and the department's public tip infrastructure plays a central role in cases like this one.
