Tuesday’s Storm Window Comes Late
A slight chance of showers is in the forecast between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a 20% chance of rain and only light accumulation expected. Storm chances rise late Tuesday afternoon and evening, especially south of I-69, before showers and thunderstorms continue into the overnight hours.
Stronger storms could bring brief heavy downpours and gusty winds, with the greatest rainfall threat south of the Detroit area. Forecasters warn that intense rain could fall quickly enough to cause ponding on roads and localized flooding in low-lying or urban spots.

Thursday stays unsettled, with shower and storm prospects continuing. Friday brings the week’s best break, with partly sunny skies and a high around 74, but the weather turns showery again Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday should bring showery weather and mild temperatures, with showers and thunderstorms likely Saturday night. Sunday brings showery weather; the forecast then extends into Monday.
For Tuesday plans, the best outdoor window is earlier in the day, before the late-day storm threat builds. Drivers should slow down during downpours and avoid standing water, especially if storms repeatedly move over the same neighborhoods.
