Stoughton police are asking for the public’s help identifying a person connected to a reported larceny at the Five Below store at 1334 Park Street. The department’s appeal included photographs of the person.
Anyone with information can contact Ofc. Morrison at (781) 344-2424 or send a private message to the Stoughton Police Department’s Facebook page. The person shown in the photographs is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The location
Five Below is located in RK Center Stoughton, a Park Street shopping plaza near the Route 24 interchange. The RK Centers property brochure identifies the center as being along Route 27 and lists retailers including TJ Maxx, Michaels, Ulta Beauty and DSW.
A prior report at the same address
The current investigation involves Five Below, but the address has also appeared in an earlier, separate police-log report. According to Patch’s report on Stoughton police logs for May 5 through May 8, police received a shoplifting report from T.J. Maxx at 1334 Park Street. That incident involved a different retailer and does not establish a connection to the current case.
Statewide context
Retail theft has also been a statewide issue. GBH reported that Massachusetts recorded 18,203 shoplifting incidents in 2024, compared with 15,068 in 2023, a 20.8% increase. Those figures describe reported incidents across Massachusetts and do not indicate whether shoplifting is increasing at Five Below, in Stoughton, or at the RK Center.
