Wednesday and Thursday should stay sunny, with highs near 79 and 78 degrees, respectively. Overnight lows will remain around 67, while afternoon winds generally run 5 to 10 mph; no watches, warnings, or advisories are posted for the area.
Weekend Warms Up With Rain In The Mix
Friday remains mostly sunny near 78 degrees, but the pattern turns more unsettled Friday night, when rain showers have a 36% chance. Saturday through Labor Day brings partly sunny skies, highs from 80 to 83 degrees and shower chances ranging from about 29% to 36%, giving beach and backyard plans a reason to keep a backup option handy.
Inland Areas Face More Heat And Wind
Farther inland, drier air will persist through Thursday, with gusty afternoon winds and near-critical fire-weather conditions on desert mountain slopes. Desert communities could approach 100 degrees, while coastal San Diego stays in the upper 70s to low 80s, so anyone heading east should be ready for hotter, windier and much drier conditions.
