El Paso police and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking the public to help identify a man sought in connection with an OXXO burglary. The case was featured as Crime of the Week, according to KTSM 9 News. Anonymous tips can be submitted at cselpaso.org or by calling 915-566-8477. Information that leads to an arrest may qualify for a cash reward, KFOX14/CBS4 reported.
Description Released by Investigators
Investigators described the suspect as white or Hispanic, with a light complexion and a medium-to-large build. He was wearing dark clothing, a face mask, blue latex gloves and shoe covers, according to KTSM. Police have not released additional identifying information.
Reported Store Break-In
The reported break-in occurred at the OXXO at 8160 Gateway East at Lomaland in East El Paso at about 4 a.m. on August 22, KTSM reported. Cigarettes and vapes worth about $610 were taken, and the store's glass front door was damaged.
How business burglaries are reported
According to the El Paso Police Department, business burglaries require a police officer and cannot be reported through the department's online system.
According to the station, surveillance video showed the man arrive from the Gateway West direction, break through the front entrance with a rock and kicks, and climb over the counter. He then left the store on foot toward the rear.
