According to KHOU, the discovery happened near the Hardy Toll Road and Little York Road, and it drew an immediate response from HPD homicide detectives. Per FOX 26 Houston, Houston police received a call about the scene just before 5:15 p.m. Monday. The station reports that police are still investigating what happened, and officials have not disclosed a cause of death.

The station's report notes that as of Monday night, authorities had provided no details about what led to the deaths of the two people found at the home. Standard Houston Police Department protocol calls for the department's Homicide Division to deploy Homicide Squads staffed 24/7 to investigate questionable deaths and respond to crime scenes, according to the Houston Police Department. The Little York Road corridor has seen previous violent crime investigations. A double shooting on West Little York Road left one man dead and a woman injured, resulting in murder charges against a 25-year-old suspect, according to the City of Houston.
