A Leawood homeowner is recovering at home after an officer found them on the floor, unable to get up. The officer reached the home after a loose dog drew his attention and led him to an open garage.
The dog had caught the officer’s attention several nights earlier, when it was standing alone in the street with a leash attached and no owner in sight, according to KMBC. When the officer saw it again, he followed it about half a block to the home.
Police said the resident had been on the floor for more than three hours. KMBC reports the resident is now recovering at home.
