A 46-year-old Warrensburg man is facing felony charges after being booked into the Johnson County Jail on four counts of possession of child pornography, along with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. The Sedalia Democrat compilation lists Adam Wayne Patton’s arrest and 24-hour hold in an entry under Missouri State Highway Patrol arrests.
What the Charges Say
According to a report from sedaliademocrat.com, Patton was arrested in Johnson County on four counts of felony possession of child pornography, felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, the same report states.
A booking roster from the Johnson County Sheriff lists Patton under booking number 1213690.
Drug Charges
The Sept. 22 police report cited by sedaliademocrat.com lists one felony possession-of-a-controlled-substance charge and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Under Missouri law, possession of a controlled substance other than a small amount of marijuana or a synthetic cannabinoid is classified as a class D felony, according to the Revised Statutes of Missouri. That classification applies to the controlled-substance charge described in the Sept. 22 police report.
