A woman walking back to her car near the Junction in West Seattle was knocked to the ground, kicked in the head twice and robbed of her phone by a group of four to five suspects on Thursday evening, according to police. The attack happened in broad daylight around 6 p.m., right between the Junction QFC and the Maharaja restaurant, and left the victim hospitalized.
Attack Unfolded in Broad Daylight Near the QFC
According to West Seattle Blog, the victim was approached by four to five Black male suspects as she walked back to her car, with one yelling, “Hey that's my phone!” before the group knocked her to the ground. She recalled being kicked in the head twice but reported that she did not lose consciousness, and she told police she did not know the suspects and had never seen them before.
The suspects stole her blue iPhone before fleeing, the outlet reported. She was taken to the hospital by AMR ambulance. Police later found the victim's damaged eyeglasses among items left behind in a nearby parking lot.

A witness's video reviewed by police showed four suspects huddled around the victim on the ground in a parking lot, with one suspect seen stomping on her before the group ran to a white Honda Accord that had no license plates and was parked with all three passenger doors open, the site's report states. A fifth suspect apparently stayed behind the wheel, and the group then drove off south on 42nd Avenue Southwest.
Suspect descriptions varied slightly by clothing but matched in age and build: police described the first suspect as a thin Black male, 16 to 22 years old, with short black hair, wearing a black-and-white puffy coat and gray sweatpants. Detectives are still trying to pin down full descriptions for the rest of the group, and it remains unresolved whether the Honda has been located.

The incident adds to a string of recent West Seattle robbery reports the outlet has tracked, including an attempted armed robbery at a Fauntleroy Way Southwest bank ATM covered by Westside Seattle and an earlier violent robbery investigated at a Rotary Viewpoint Park encampment, described by the Seattle Police Department as having left three people hospitalized. No arrests in the Junction attack have been reported.
