A man is dead after being stabbed inside a home in Reddick, Florida, early Saturday morning, and a woman was taken into custody at the scene while investigators worked to piece together what happened. Marion County deputies were called to the residence at roughly 3:15 a.m., where they found the victim already suffering from a stab wound.
The stabbing happened at a home along West Highway 318 in Reddick, according to Cedar News, which reported that the victim died at the scene and that the female suspect remained there until deputies arrived. FOX 35 Orlando reports that deputies provided aid once they arrived, but the man ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The woman was taken into custody for questioning, per the sheriff's office.
A major crimes detective responded to the home and is now investigating the death as a homicide, according to the same FOX 35 Orlando report. The Marion County Sheriff's Office said the investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details about what led to the stabbing, or the relationship between the two people involved, have been released.
Violence in Reddick

Whether any self-defense claim applies here has not been addressed by investigators.
