7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee is planning its first Denton location, a drive-thru stand set to rise at 906 W. University Drive near the North Texas Fair and Rodeo fairgrounds. The project carries an estimated price tag of $1.5 million and would occupy 510 square feet once complete.

The plans are based on a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which issued permit information for the project, according to Community Impact. The outlet reports that 7 Brew filed for a permit to start the new construction, with Arkifex Studios serving as the design firm for the building. Construction is expected to begin in May 2027 and wrap up in October 2027.

Reports have described the project in different ways. The Community Impact report, drawing on the TDLR filing, describes the project simply as new construction. Meanwhile, the Cross Timbers Gazette reports that 7 Brew is expected to renovate a former bank along University Drive into the drive-thru coffee shop.

What's on the Menu

7 Brew serves hot and iced coffee, shakes, smoothies, teas, fizz drinks, energy drinks and lemonades, per the Community Impact report. The chain also serves specialty beverages including cold brews, americanos, mochas and lattes, and keeps a secret menu that includes a peppermint mocha, a cinnamon roll latte and a snickerdoodle latte.

The brand has also been pushing wellness add-ins at some of its locations. Select 7 Brew stands in the Dallas-Fort Worth area began offering a liquid collagen protein add-in — 15 grams of protein for $2 — starting Aug. 1, 2026, according to USA Today. The chain says it currently offers 20,000 drink combinations across its menu.

A Chain on a Growth Tear

Denton's planned stand is one piece of a much larger expansion push. 7 Brew planned 62 new coffee stand openings across 26 states in August, with Florida, Ohio and Texas each slated to receive five new locations in that round, the USA Today report noted. One of those listed Texas additions was a planned Little Elm stand at 2725 Little Elm Parkway, though its opening date remained to be determined at the time.

Closer to home, 7 Brew has recently expanded its footprint in Denton County, according to the Cross Timbers Gazette. The chain already has locations in Frisco, Carrollton, Sanger and North Fort Worth, and the Gazette reports a new stand is expected to open in Lewisville in 2027 inside a former Salad and Go building.

Elsewhere in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, three more drive-thru stands are confirmed for Little Elm, Midlothian and Hurst, according to a report from WhatNow. The Midlothian stand, at 1371 W. Main Street, was aiming for a mid-September opening, while the Hurst location at 770 Grapevine Highway is expected to open in October. The same report said 7 Brew is aiming for nearly 400 stands across five states — Texas, Georgia, Ohio and the Pacific Northwest among them — with seven more Georgia locations expected to open by year's end as part of a 55-unit goal in that state.

For comparison, a similar drive-thru coffee project from rival chain Scooter's Coffee, built at 1240 S Loop 288 in Denton, carried an estimated cost of $350,000 under its own TDLR filing — far less than the $1.5 million projected for the new 7 Brew build. Community Impact says it will update its story when more information becomes available.
