Alfredo Landin, 28, received a 190-month federal prison sentence after pleading guilty to a conspiracy charge involving at least 500 grams of methamphetamine, News4 San Antonio reported. The San Antonio Express-News reported that U.S. District Judge Fred Biery imposed the sentence.
The 190-month term will run at the same time as a prison sentence of more than 12 years in a separate San Antonio methamphetamine case. The Express-News reported that U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez handled that separate case.
The 2021 seizure and the case against Landin
An earlier vehicle stop illustrates the scale of the shipments described in the case. On July 19, 2021, DEA agents and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers stopped a vehicle carrying about eight kilograms of methamphetamine and 3.5 kilograms of heroin. Investigators said the drugs were intended for Landin in San Antonio’s Indian Creek area, the Express-News reported.
The Express-News, citing court documents, reported that Landin arranged for drivers to transport shipments of at least 10 kilograms in concealed vehicle compartments. He was arrested on April 19, 2024, and pleaded guilty on March 4, 2025, the newspaper reported. News4 San Antonio reported that he imported methamphetamine from Mexico for distribution to San Antonio dealers.
