Charlotte woke to clear skies and temperatures in the low 40s Tuesday, but the city is headed for a sunny afternoon near 75 degrees. Rain is not in the forecast, and light north-northeast winds of 5 to 9 mph will add a little bite early before a mild afternoon.
Dry Air Raises Fire-Weather Concerns
Humidity is expected to fall into the 25% to 35% range Tuesday afternoon as temperatures climb, with some Piedmont gusts potentially reaching 15 to 20 mph. The National Weather Service says low-end fire danger is the main regional concern; a Fire Danger Statement is in effect for northeast Georgia, while no advisory is listed for North Carolina. In Charlotte, dry leaves and brush still deserve caution around outdoor flames.
Clear Skies, Cooler Nights Through The Weekend
Tuesday night will stay clear, with an overnight low in the 40s, followed by sunny skies and highs near 71 Wednesday and 73 Thursday. Friday reaches about 71, then Saturday looks like the coolest day of the stretch at 67, with northeast winds of 9 to 14 mph and an overnight low in the mid-40s. Sunday rebounds to around 70, with another mild 75-degree afternoon possible Monday.
No Rain In Sight
The forecast shows no meaningful rain chance through Monday, extending the dry, sunny pattern described in Hoodline's earlier Charlotte forecast. Outdoor plans look favorable, but mornings and late evenings will call for layers as fall keeps turning down the thermostat.
