CHVRCHES is ending a six-year wait between albums with news of a fifth studio record and a 2027 tour that wraps its North American leg with a headlining show at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The Scottish synth-pop trio will release “All The King’s Men” on Jan. 22, 2027, and the accompanying tour includes stops at The Observatory North Park in San Diego on March 12 and the Palladium on March 14.

The band — vocalist Lauren Mayberry, guitarist and keyboardist Iain Cook, and keyboardist Martin Doherty — has a nearly six-year gap between full-length albums, following 2021’s “Screen Violence,” according to the Los Angeles Daily News. “All The King’s Men” will be released via Futures Music Group and arrives as the band’s first new album in six years, per Pitchfork.

Doherty stepped away from the band in 2023 after touring “Screen Violence,” and Mayberry pursued solo music during the break, the Daily News reports. The trio eventually reunited in Glasgow to work on the new record. CHVRCHES cut “All The King’s Men” together in the city, eschewing the remote working they employed on “Screen Violence,” according to JamBase.

A New Sound Forged Over Three-Week Sessions

The album took shape over multiple intense three-week stints in Glasgow, where the band embraced experimentation, NME notes. The result is an 11-track collection the Daily News says includes songs titled “Adore You,” “Comedown Tomorrow,” “Royal Blue” and “Faith In Flying.”

The Line of Best Fit describes the record as a self-consciously British, freewheeling collection pointed toward an emotional indie-rock direction. Pitchfork reports the songs draw inspiration from Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, Nick Drake, Bert Jansch and Incredible String Band, while Far Out Magazine adds Siouxsie and the Banshees to that list of influences.

Lead single “Roses” dropped last month as an early preview of the album, and the Daily News reports the track addresses contemporary British society and its relationship with the past.

Tour Dates Span North America, UK and Ireland

CHVRCHES will begin its North American tour on Feb. 13, 2027, with a show at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia, according to JamBase. The run will also hit New York, Chicago, Seattle, Oakland and other cities, per the Daily News, before wrapping in Los Angeles.

San Diego fans can catch the band at The Observatory North Park on March 12, with the North American leg concluding two nights later at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on March 14. JamBase reports that date closes out the leg.

From there, CHVRCHES heads overseas. The band will begin UK and Ireland dates on April 23, 2027, in Glasgow, with that leg closing on May 6 at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, JamBase reports.

Tickets And A Warm-Up LA Show

Before any of the 2027 dates, CHVRCHES will play a sold-out show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Nov. 16, the Daily News reports. Presale tickets for the North American tour dates become available at 10 a.m. on Oct. 27, 2026, while UK and Ireland presales begin the following day, according to JamBase. General-public tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Oct. 30 at chvrch.es, per the Daily News.

For collectors, the band’s official store is also offering a signed Ruby Black Wave vinyl pressing of the new album, according to the Chvrches official store.
