A 27-year-old Cincinnati man is facing six criminal counts after police say he had improper contact with a minor. Demarcus Grant was arrested on three counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and three counts of endangering children, following an investigation that began after police received allegations against him.
According to WKRC, police were first alerted to the allegations on October 18, and the investigation led to Grant's arrest. District Three patrol officers, working alongside the department's Drone as a First Responder Unit, took Grant into custody. A separate search-result snippet tied to the same report listed October 6 as the date the investigation began, so the exact start date remains unresolved between the two figures.
Charges Carry Felony-Level Statutes
Grant was charged with three counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor and three counts of endangering children, the station's report states. Ohio law defines pandering obscenity involving a minor under Section 2907.321 of the Ohio Revised Code. The endangering children counts fall under a separate statute, Section 2919.22 of the Ohio Revised Code, which addresses offenses against children's safety and welfare, according to the same code.
The Cincinnati Police Department's Personal Crime Squad is now handling the investigation into Grant's case, per the same account. No additional details about the alleged contact, the identity or age of the minor involved, or the factual basis behind each individual charge have been made public in connection with this case.
