Cleveland is starting Tuesday with mainly VFR conditions, though brief mist or fog is possible, and the city is headed for a sunny afternoon near 67 degrees. Rain is essentially off the table, and the broader forecast keeps the region dry through at least the start of next week. That makes for an unusually dry stretch of fall weather, with only the usual morning chill to negotiate.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland says Tuesday will stay sunny as winds are light and variable early, then favor a northeast direction at 5 to 8 knots Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday night should be mostly clear, with a low around 44.
Dry Weather Keeps Coming
Wednesday looks seasonable with a high near 64, followed by a high near 66 Thursday. Friday is expected to reach around 64, and the broader pattern favors highs mainly in the 60s.
Sunday could see highs in the lower 70s, while highs otherwise are expected to be mainly in the 60s. Outdoor plans have a wide-open window before the next meaningful weather change arrives.
Cooler Inland Nights, Calmer Lakefront Weather
Tuesday night into Wednesday morning could bring patchy fog and frost in inland parts of Northeast Ohio, especially farther east and away from the lake. Cleveland's lakeshore neighborhoods should be less prone to frost, but gardeners and early-morning commuters outside the city may want to keep an eye on exposed surfaces.
No watches, warnings or advisories are posted for the Cleveland area. On Lake Erie, northeast winds and choppier water could briefly create more difficult conditions for smaller boats Tuesday afternoon and evening, with lighter winds expected Wednesday before another breezier stretch late Thursday into Friday.
