A 16-year-old girl has been missing from Clinton since Sept. 27, and investigators are now dangling a cash reward in hopes of generating new leads. Amberlyn Blackwell is described as standing between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
According to News 9, the Bureau of Indian Affairs–Office of Justice Services Missing and Murdered Unit is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Blackwell's location. The reward underscores how urgently investigators want the public's help nearly three weeks after she was last accounted for.
Anyone who spots Blackwell is being asked to call 911 immediately and share her clothing description, the direction she may be traveling, and any other details that could help investigators track her down. The outlet's report does not specify what she was wearing when she disappeared or where exactly she was last seen, leaving much of the circumstances around her disappearance unclear for now.
Case Draws Attention From National Missing-Persons Advocates
The case has also drawn notice from outside Oklahoma. The AWARE Foundation, a national nonprofit with a large social media following, shared details of the case on Facebook, helping push Blackwell's story beyond the local community as the search continues.
For now, the known details remain limited to Blackwell's physical description and the timeline of her disappearance beginning Sept. 27. No additional information about her last known whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance has been released.
How To Help
Investigators are urging anyone with information, however small it may seem, to come forward. With a reward now on the table and multiple agencies involved, officials are hoping renewed public attention will help bring Amberlyn Blackwell home.
