Club Studio began operating in early September in the 19,000-square-foot former Rite Aid at 15920 Los Gatos Blvd., bringing a fitness tenant to Cornerstone Shopping Center as the property works through a broader leasing and repositioning effort. The Mercury News reported the site and space size; the opening timing was announced in a company release distributed through PR Newswire.
The club has four studio rooms. Its schedule includes heated yoga and reformer Pilates, along with indoor cycling and strength sessions using equipment such as treadmills, rowers and SkiErg machines, according to the release. It also has functional-training areas and cardio and strength equipment.
A tenant mix still taking shape
Club Studio is one part of Cornerstone’s leasing plans. The Mercury News reported that Cilker, the Los Gatos property management firm overseeing the center, said it had completed its strategic asset-management and leasing plan. The paper also reported that Gus’s Community Market signed a lease and is expected to open at Cornerstone in spring 2027.
Former Rite Aid locations have also drawn different prospective tenants elsewhere in the Bay Area. SiliconValley.com reported that Ross agreed to lease about 25,000 square feet at a former Rite Aid in Martinez in 2025; the same report said Ross had signed a lease in December 2024 for a separate, 23,700-square-foot former Rite Aid in east San Jose. Those are discount-retail leases, not fitness or grocery uses, and lease agreements alone do not establish that the spaces opened. The examples show different possible replacements, not a regionwide trend.
Grocery changes are also playing out at another Los Gatos address. Los Gatan reported that Nob Hill Foods chose not to renew its lease at Los Gatos Boulevard and Blossom Hill Road, where the lease expires in 2027. That is a separate site from Cornerstone; Gus’s planned arrival is the grocery addition reported for the shopping center.
Grand-opening event planned for November
Club Studio plans to hold its grand-opening event on November 14, with giveaways, local vendors and opportunities for guests to visit, according to the company release. The announcement also says a Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting is planned ahead of the event.
