Copado is relocating its global headquarters to downtown New Orleans, planting its flag at 400 Poydras Street in a move city and state leaders say will bring 136 jobs to the area, including 59 direct hires paying an average salary of $104,000. The announcement came together at a news conference on Tuesday afternoon.

New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno joined Copado CEO Ted Elliott and Greater New Orleans, Inc. President Michael Hecht to make the announcement, according to WDSU. Copado is described as a software and automation company that uses agentic automation to help businesses build, test and deliver software applications. The station reports the company will create 59 direct jobs with those $104,000 average salaries, plus a total of 136 new jobs once indirect positions are factored in.

The new headquarters will occupy the entire sixth floor of 400 Poydras Street, according to Louisiana Economic Development, bringing together employees across the company's key business functions to support its growth around the world. Copado Week 2026 includes a Tuesday opening event, according to copadoweek.copado.com. The schedule for the launch included a ribbon-cutting and a short panel on stage Tuesday afternoon, the same site shows.

From a Coworking Desk to a Full Floor

Copado's New Orleans story didn't start downtown. The company opened its first Louisiana office in 2024, setting up at The Shop, the coworking space inside the Contemporary Arts Center, according to copadoweek.copado.com. From there, the local team grew to 11 employees, with the company projecting it would reach 20, per NOLA.com.

Copado currently lists 21 open roles tied to the expansion, along with an internship program designed to convert interns into full-time hires, the company's event site notes. The jump from a shared coworking desk to a dedicated floor in one of downtown's office towers marks a significant scaling-up for the company's local presence in just a couple of years.

A Growing List of Tech and AI Investments

Copado's relocation lands amid a string of technology-related economic development announcements across Louisiana. NOLA.com's report on Copado's earlier New Orleans office noted that the project was the second artificial-intelligence-related technology project announced for the state that month, following Meta's unveiling of plans to invest $10 billion in an AI data center in northeast Louisiana.

Other recent arrivals have followed a similar playbook. Applied Atomics announced in September that it would invest $8.2 million to establish its headquarters and technical operations center in New Orleans, according to New Orleans CityBusiness. That Bywater facility is expected to create 41 direct jobs with an average annual salary of $121,000, and the outlet reported the project could support another 141 indirect jobs, for a potential regional employment impact of 182 jobs.

Incentive Programs Available to Qualifying Companies

Louisiana offers several incentive programs that companies expanding or relocating operations in the state can tap. LED says Copado is expected to participate in the Quality Jobs program. The state's High-Impact Jobs Program offers qualifying companies of all sizes reimbursable grants, administered directly by Louisiana Economic Development, for creating new jobs that pay above the parish average wage, according to the agency's program description. Separately, the state's Quality Jobs incentive provides a cash rebate to eligible companies that create well-paid jobs and promote economic development, per the same agency.

Copado describes itself, per a news release cited in reporting on the announcement, as a leader in agentops for business applications that helps organizations accelerate innovation across Salesforce and enterprise applications. The company says it is pioneering a shift from automated to autonomous software delivery through its Agentia platform while keeping humans in control, and that it offers enterprise-grade scale, security and governance for teams at every growth stage.

Figures describing Copado's overall size vary depending on the source. NOLA.com's report on the company's earlier New Orleans office stated that Copado serves more than 1,700 customers globally and has nearly 400 employees worldwide, while the company's own website describes itself as trusted by more than 1,000 enterprise customers and powered by more than 350 employees across six or more countries. Copado also describes itself, per a news release, as trusted by more than 1,200 global brands and backed by a global community of more than 150,000 practitioners.
