Denton families will have a new place to burn off energy starting this Halloween, as the city's first Urban Air Adventure Park opens its doors at 10 a.m. on October 31 at 3615 E. McKinney Street. The indoor entertainment center is packed with slides, climbing walls, obstacle courses, go-karts and more, built to handle up to 400 guests at a time.

The opening date and the park's lineup of attractions were confirmed by Community Impact, which reported the facility will include indoor slides, climbing walls and obstacle courses alongside its other offerings. According to the Cross Timbers Gazette, the location sits on the east side of Denton and is owned by a local family. That family, the Rays, said in a statement that they are deeply committed to inspiring healthy, active lifestyles for local kids and are building a high-quality space for the Denton community, per the same Community Impact report. The Rays have two daughters and a son, the outlet noted.

What's Inside the 400-Guest Facility

Urban Air is designed for children ages 2 through 18, with dedicated play areas for younger kids and higher-intensity attractions aimed at older youth and teens, Community Impact reported. The Denton location's own attractions page lists Spin Zone bumper cars, indoor go-karts, laser tag and bowling among the draws, according to Urban Air. The same page also highlights the Sky Rider, a ropes course, climbing walls and a Warrior Course.

Beyond the big-ticket attractions, Urban Air locations offer slides, though available attractions vary by park. The facility also offers all-day play on a single ticket, with no time limits once guests are inside, per Urban Air's site. For celebrations, the center includes 10 private, climate-controlled party rooms that can also be booked for adult or corporate events, Community Impact reported.

Jobs, Costs and a Conflicting Address

Owner Dev Ray previously said the Denton location would create 35 to 50 part-time and full-time jobs, the outlet's earlier coverage noted. A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing cited by Community Impact put the facility's estimated construction cost at $1 million.

There's a small discrepancy in the official paperwork worth flagging: Urban Air's own location page lists the address as 3615 E McKinney St, Denton, TX 76208, while a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project record lists the same street address under ZIP code 76209. Both sources agree on the street address itself.

Urban Air describes itself as one of the nation's best family destinations for fun, birthday parties and group events, and the company has said its activities are designed to promote healthy lifestyles by making exercise fun and engaging, according to Community Impact's earlier reporting. The Denton opening adds to Urban Air's existing North Texas footprint, with locations already operating in Southlake, North Fort Worth and Frisco, per the Cross Timbers Gazette.
