A detective was involved in an incident yesterday afternoon.
According to the Tukwila Police Department, Detective Mosley located the occupied stolen car as it pulled into the business, where officers woke its two occupants. Officers searching the car then located a loaded stolen pistol inside, which was taken into evidence, and the stolen vehicle itself was recovered.
One Suspect Detained, Booked on Robbery Warrant
Officer Sincraugh detained one of the fleeing suspects, who turned out to have an active warrant for second-degree robbery. That suspect was booked into jail on the warrant, police said. The department's account does not specify the suspect's name, age, or which jail facility processed the booking.
Washington law defines the underlying offense in broad terms: under RCW 9A.56.210, as published by the Washington State Legislature, a person is guilty of robbery in the second degree if they commit robbery.
Three Others Detained, Then Let Go
Three other occupants of the car were located nearby and detained by police, who identified them during the encounter. All three were ultimately released, with police saying they lacked probable cause to arrest them. Their identities and any further disposition beyond that release were not disclosed in the department's account.
In November 2025, KIRO 7 News Seattle reported that Tukwila police arrested a suspect found inside a stolen car near Southcenter mall.
