Travelers passing through Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will soon have a new spot to grab a smoothie before their flight. Nékter Juice Bar, the Southern California-based chain known for its açaí bowls and fresh-pressed juices, has been reported as a concession at DFW's future Terminal F; DFW identifies the chain's first U.S. airport location at Terminal B-10.
A New Wellness Stop Amid DFW's Terminal F Build-Out
According to WhatNow, a Nékter Juice Bar concession is planned for Gate F27 at DFW's still-under-construction Terminal F. DFW Airport also announced Nékter as a new concession offering for Terminal B-10, part of a broader push described as DFW's effort to expand its dining choices for travelers. The chain, founded in Southern California in 2010, says it avoids artificial flavors, unnecessary fillers and pre-made mixes, favoring fresh ingredients instead.
WhatNow and The Dallas Morning News place a Nékter concession at Gate F27, while DFW Airport's announcement identifies the chain's first U.S. airport location at Terminal B-10. Airport Improvement likewise says the first U.S. airport location is coming to Terminal B, and describes the brand bringing travelers smoothies, acai bowls and bottled juices crafted with real ingredients, fresh fruit and functional superfoods.
What's On the Menu
Once it opens, Nékter's DFW menu is expected to include its usual lineup of freshly prepared juices, smoothies, açaí bowls and snacks. The Berry Banana Burst blends strawberry, banana, blueberry and house-made cashew milk, while the Tropical Cooler mixes spinach, kale, pineapple, banana and coconut water. On the bowl side, the Açaí Banana Berry Bowl combines açaí, banana, strawberry and blueberry, and the Dragon Fruit Bowl pairs dragon fruit, pineapple and coconut water. The chain also offers fresh-pressed juices and wellness shots alongside its bowls, which come topped with fresh fruit, granola and other add-ons.
No opening date for the new location has been announced.
Part of a Larger Terminal F Push
Nékter's arrival is one piece of a much bigger expansion. DFW Airport approved dining and retail concepts spanning Terminals A, B and E along with the planned Terminal F, though counts vary by source: Community Impact reported the airport board approved 15 new concession offerings across four terminals at its June 4 meeting, with eleven of those destined for Terminal F. DFW Airport's own announcement put the number at 20 new concessions approved as the airport adds gates and builds out Terminal F.
Ken Buchanan, DFW's executive vice president and chief revenue officer, said the new additions reflect what the airport wants its experience to be. As Community Impact's report notes, that includes keeping things local, memorable and built around the needs of today's traveler. Terminal F itself is expected to feature quick-service restaurants, coffee shops, frozen treats, retail and travel essentials once it opens, with approved concepts there including Whataburger, Popeyes, Mi Cocina, Wetzel's Pretzels and Fort Worth-based Ampersand Coffee.
Timeline and Price Tag for Terminal F
Terminal F's first phase, which includes 15 gates, is expected to partially open to the public in 2027, with the terminal fully finished by 2030, according to the Dallas Morning News. The newspaper describes Terminal F as part of DFW's $12 billion DFW Forward capital improvement program, which is set to add or refurbish 68 gates across the airport. DFW's own construction page separately values the Terminal F program specifically at $1.6 billion.
DFW Forward is broadly described as a capital improvement program focused on new gates, upgraded terminals and additional customer amenities, and the airport says it is modernizing its facilities through the initiative. The airport has said dozens of new concessions are expected to come online over the next few years as that work continues, with travelers currently able to choose from more than 200 shopping and dining options across DFW's terminals, per the Passenger Terminal Today report. Nékter joins a lineup that also includes Mi Cocina paired with a Lone Star Local Market concept and Stockyards Bar and Grill, part of the airport's broader bet on local flavor as Terminal F takes shape.
