Las Vegas gets a dose of genre-blurring hip-hop Thursday night when Crime Wave brings rapper Dizzy Wright and the punk-rap trio Codefendants to Bizarre Bar. The show kicks off at 7 p.m., is restricted to guests 21 and older, and tickets start at $20.
According to Las Vegas Weekly, the event is billed as a live hip-hop concert taking place at Bizarre Bar, with the 7 p.m. start time and $20 entry point confirmed for Thursday. The listing also notes the 21-plus age restriction, a standard rule for the venue's late-night concert bookings.
Dizzy Wright, an American rapper and producer, has built a catalog that includes the 2012 release Smokeout Conversations along with projects such as The First Agreement, The Golden Age, State of Mind, and The Growing Process. Some of his releases have earned spots on the Billboard 200, and he signed with Hopsin's Funk Volume label back in 2011, cementing his place in the West Coast underground rap scene before building out a solo career.
Codefendants Bring Punk Edge to the Bill
Sharing the stage is Codefendants, described as an American genre-defying band that fuses punk rock, hip-hop, new wave, and experimental influences into something that resists easy categorization. The group was formed in 2021 by Ceschi Ramos, Sam King, and Fat Mike, with Vice describing the trio as NOFX's Fat Mike, Julio “Ceschi” Ramos, and Sam King of Get Dead.
Codefendants debuted in 2023 with the album This Is Crime Wave, and the band has continued evolving its sound in the years since. Vice frames the project's appeal around the idea that punk and hip-hop are overlapping counter-cultural movements, a lineage the band leans into rather than shying away from.
New Album Lifers Ties Into the Night's Lineup
The band released its follow-up album, Lifers, in 2026, continuing the creative run that began with its debut. Per Vice's reporting, Lifers was produced by Fat Mike and was officially announced for an April 3, 2026 release date.
The album also marked a reunion with hip-hop legend The D.O.C., who guests on the single “Rivals.” It wasn't the band's first collaboration with him either — the same Vice report notes that “Fast Ones,” from the 2023 debut This Is Crime Wave, had already paired Codefendants with The D.O.C. before Lifers arrived.
Beyond Thursday's Bizarre Bar date, Codefendants also shows up on Songkick's rundown of upcoming hip-hop acts around Las Vegas, a sign the band's current run through the city is drawing wider notice among concertgoers tracking the local scene. For fans weighing whether to catch Dizzy Wright's rap pedigree or Codefendants' punk-inflected chaos, Thursday's bill offers both without asking anyone to choose.
