Drybar has opened its second Omaha location, this time at 17305 Davenport Street, Suite 103, inside the Village Pointe Shopping Center next to Early Bird restaurant. The blowout-only salon chain, known for styling hair without offering cuts or color, now has three storefronts across Nebraska run by the same local franchisee.
That franchisee is Julie Rhule, who already operates a Drybar at the Regency shopping center near Borsheims as well as a location in Lincoln. Rhule is married to Nebraska head football coach Matt Rhule, a connection that has made her a familiar name well beyond the salon business. She launched her first Nebraska shop in June 2024 with a 1,885-square-foot space at SouthPointe Pavilions in Lincoln, with commercial real estate firm ACCESS Commercial serving as her tenant representative for the Omaha expansion, targeting retail spaces between 1,500 and 2,000 square feet, per a video posted by ACCESS Commercial.
A Blowout-Only Model With National Backing
Drybar's business model has stayed consistent since hairstylist Alli Webb and her brother opened the first salon in Brentwood, California, in 2009, building the concept around blowouts exclusively, with no cuts or color offered, according to Forbes.
Village Pointe's Ongoing Makeover
The new Drybar arrives as Village Pointe undergoes a broader transformation under new ownership. Federal Realty Investment Trust purchased the 453,000-square-foot West Omaha center for $153.3 million in December 2025, according to Grow Omaha. The shopping center had already bolstered its retail lineup in fall 2024 by bringing in Nebraska's first Nordstrom Rack, a 30,000-square-foot store, per PR Newswire.
Rhule's growing footprint hasn't gone unnoticed locally. Omaha Magazine named her its 2026 “Face of Blowout Salons” in the publication's annual regional business feature.
