The Atlanta Cake Swap: Halloween Edition takes place at Ginkgo Bakery & Cafe in Downtown Duluth on October 30, from 5 to 7 p.m.; guests are asked to bring and share a Halloween-themed cake.
The gathering, called the Atlanta Cake Swap: Halloween Edition, is hosted by Ginkgo Bakery & Cafe together with Lonely Sweets.
It's not the first time these two have teamed up. An earlier cake-swapping gathering co-organized by Lonely Sweets was held at the same venue on August 1, 2026, establishing the venue partnership between the cafe and the micro-bakery ahead of this month's Halloween-themed sequel.
Costumes at the Cake Swap
Organizers encourage guests to wear costumes for the occasion. Every general admission and VIP ticket holder also receives one free drink from a special menu, plus 10% off other drinks at Ginkgo Bakery & Cafe. Tickets admit one person each, with a maximum of one child ticket allowed per adult, and the event is recommended for ages 6 and up.
Ticket pricing for the October 30 gathering ranges from roughly $7.61 for general admission to $35.88 for VIP access once platform service fees are included, according to listings reviewed on Eventbrite. Secret Atlanta separately reported base pricing running from $5 plus fees for kids up to $30 plus fees for VIP access. The event is also promoted on Ginkgo Bakery's Instagram account, @ginkgo.bakerycafe.
Behind the Micro-Bakery Co-Host
Lonely Sweets is an Atlanta-area micro-bakery run by baker Loan Ly, known for custom special-event cakes built around Asian-inspired flavors like durian, ube, black sesame, and matcha, according to a video posted to YouTube. Like many micro-bakers, Lonely Sweets operates through pop-ups and custom orders rather than a standalone storefront, and event tracking profiles show the bakery participated in at least 13 regional market events across Georgia through 2026, including Atlanta's Chinatown Market, per listings on Eventeny.
The swap takes place at Ginkgo Bakery & Cafe, located at 3550 West Lawrenceville Street, #340, in Duluth, Georgia 30096.
Duluth's Food Scene
Duluth was recognized by Southern Living in January 2025 as an underrated suburban food destination for its dense cluster of international eateries and bakeries, as Hoodline previously reported.
Cake-swap-style gatherings have been multiplying across metro Atlanta's home-baking scene throughout 2026, including The Cake Crawl, a picnic-style market held August 29 where local home bakers sold treats, according to a post on Instagram.
