Forbidden Acres is returning for fall 2026 with a collaboration involving two other locally owned attractions, 963 Productions and Haunted Hallows: The Orphanage. Together, the three El Paso-area haunts are offering a Terror Tour that encourages guests to visit each location.
As KVIA reported, guests who get a card stamped at all three haunts can claim an exclusive Terror Tour T-shirt. Forbidden Acres owners Mary and Lawrence Ehler described the partnership as rooted in shared values of family, community and supporting people around them.
That community focus extends beyond the scare factor. The three haunts are joining forces to accept donations supporting several assisted-living facilities throughout the area, according to the station's report. It's the kind of pairing — frights up front, charity underneath — that has become something of a pattern for Forbidden Acres.
Hours, Prices and a Slasher Discount
Forbidden Acres is open Thursdays through Sundays, starting at 8 p.m. through Halloween, according to KVIA. General admission costs $28, and Fast-Pass admission costs $48.
Guests dressed as a Slasher horror victim on Thursday, Oct. 8, or Sunday, Oct. 11, can get $3 off admission, the attraction says.
Looking Ahead to Winter
KVIA also reported that Forbidden Acres plans to join EP Winterfest, which kicks off Nov. 21.
WinterFest’s public program
El Paso WinterFest, the city-organized seasonal event Forbidden Acres says it will join, began in 2016 and features a tree-lighting ceremony in San Jacinto Plaza and a lights parade, according to WinterFest’s official history.
During that earlier holiday event, owner Mary Jean Ehler explained the thinking behind blending seasonal fun with giving back, telling reporters, “we want to do is to bring families together.” Whether this fall's three-haunt Terror Tour follows that same formula into the holidays remains to be seen, but the pairing of thrills and charitable giving has clearly become part of the Forbidden Acres identity heading into its 2026 season.
