El Paso's homegrown tea shop has officially gone five-for-five on the map. The newest Tippi Teas has opened in Far East El Paso, at 11901 Tierra Este Road, Suite B101.
The opening was reported by El Paso Inc., which notes that the business has grown to five locations across the city since launching in August 2012. That's a lot of steeping for a shop that started as a single storefront, and the Far East side now gets its own spot.
A Menu That Goes Well Beyond the Teapot
The shop offers more than 75 varieties of loose-leaf tea, the article says, along with nine blends of organic Japanese matcha. Beyond the tea wall, the menu stretches to juices, smoothies, acai bowls and vegan gelato.
The shop's Instagram account, @tippiteas, leans into the same lineup, touting “Magical Loose Leaf Tea,” nine blends of organic matcha, fresh juice, açaí bowls, superfood smoothies and vegan gelato sundaes. The account has about 11,000 followers.
How the Tea Count Has Grown
Longtime customers may notice the number has climbed. In a 2023 profile, El Paso Inc. described the shop as stocking and rotating over 50 varieties of loose teas, compared with the more than 75 cited in the latest report. Nothing in the available reporting explains whether that reflects a permanent expansion, a different way of counting or a seasonal rotation.
That earlier piece also described a lineup of organic green, black, white, pu-erh and herbal teas, which can be ordered hot or iced, for here or to go. It listed hours of Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with drinks starting at $3.25, though it's not confirmed whether those details apply at the new Far East shop.
