Washington gets a brief foggy start Monday before bright sunshine takes over, with temperatures climbing from the upper 40s to a high near 70. Patchy fog should lift by 9 a.m., setting up a dry, sunny afternoon across the District.
Fog Clears Before The Day Warms Up
Early conditions are clear and calm, but some patchy fog may linger through the morning commute. Winds will stay light from the west at 1 to 6 mph, and rain is not expected Monday.
Monday night should remain clear, with temperatures falling to around 49 degrees and northwest winds near 5 mph. The latest National Weather Service forecast lists no active weather advisory for Washington, although frost advisories remain posted in parts of Maryland and Virginia outside the District.
Warm, Dry Stretch Builds Toward Halloween
Tuesday stays sunny with a high near 70, followed by a partly sunny Wednesday around 68. Thursday should reach 72 degrees, and Friday looks like the warmest day of the week at about 76 under sunny skies.
Saturday remains mild and partly sunny near 72, with almost no rain chance. That is a warmer and longer-lasting finish than the earlier Hoodline forecast, while Sunday brings the next meaningful change: mostly cloudy skies, a high near 70 and a 28% chance of rain showers after 7 a.m.
