Los Angeles is starting Wednesday with mild, humid conditions near 58 degrees and patchy fog in the forecast. The fog should fade before 11 a.m., making way for a warm afternoon with a high near 76. Skies will otherwise be partly cloudy with high clouds, but rain is not expected today.
Foggy Morning Gives Way To A Warm Afternoon
Winds are expected to become south southwest around 5 mph as temperatures climb through the 60s and into the mid-70s. Wednesday night will turn mostly cloudy again, with a low around 58 and only a slight chance of rain.
Cooler, Cloudier Conditions Arrive Thursday
Thursday will be mostly cloudy, with increasing mid- and high-level clouds, followed by another mostly cloudy night. Friday looks cooler still, with a high near 71 and a small chance of light rain, although any rainfall is expected to be limited.
Weekend Rain Chances Increase
The storm may arrive late Friday or Saturday, with Saturday evening dynamics in focus. Showers are likely Saturday night, while Sunday brings another chance of rain before 4 p.m. and a partial return of sunshine.
The National Weather Service says the weekend system could produce roughly one-third to one-half inch of rain in areas south of Point Conception, though the forecast remains uncertain. Sunday also brings a chance of showers, with temperatures rebounding to around 72.
High Tides Bring Coastal Flooding Concerns
Coastal communities remain under a Coastal Flood Advisory through 1 p.m. Thursday as tides reach roughly 7.5 to 8 feet. The National Weather Service says minor flooding is possible along harbor walkways, beach parking lots and bike paths, especially in vulnerable areas.
After the weekend system passes, Monday should turn sunny with a high near 75, followed by mostly sunny skies and a high around 76 Tuesday. For now, the practical forecast is simple: bring patience for Wednesday morning fog, a light layer for the cooler days and a rain plan for Saturday night.
