The National Weather Service forecast Sunday morning temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s under clear skies, but the fall chill is on a short lease. Sunshine should lift afternoon temperatures to near 67, with southerly winds of 10 to 15 mph and gusts to 25 mph.
Sunny Sunday Sets Up A Steady Warm-Up
There is no rain in Sunday’s forecast, and temperatures should fall to about 46 Sunday night under mostly clear skies. The National Weather Service says no hazardous weather is expected across the region during the next seven days, with no watches, warnings or advisories posted.
The latest outlook is a calmer follow-up to Saturday’s frost-focused forecast, which Hoodline covered as temperatures began rebounding from a chilly start. Monday should reach 68 degrees, followed by 70 Tuesday and 75 Wednesday, according to the updated forecast.
80-Degree Weather Arrives By Friday
The warm-up continues Thursday, when Kansas City could reach 79 degrees, before Friday brings the week’s high near 80. Overnight lows will also moderate, ranging from the upper 40s early in the week to around 60 Friday night.
That makes for an unusually generous stretch of outdoor-weather real estate: crisp mornings, sunny afternoons and no major rain interruptions. Friday’s forecast otherwise looks easygoing.
Mostly Dry Into Next Weekend
Rain chances stay essentially near zero through Friday. Saturday remains mostly sunny with a high near 79 and only a small 5% precipitation chance in the Kansas City point forecast, although the broader outlook allows for a slightly higher shower chance west of Interstate 35.
