A 19-year-old Glen Burnie man now faces 10 criminal charges, including first-degree attempted murder, after turning himself in to police following a shooting outside a Pasadena gas station that left a car riddled with bullet holes. Ramon Emi’jai Alston remains held without bond ahead of a bail hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
Anne Arundel County Police officers responded to the Dash In on the 3900 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena around 11:30 p.m. last Friday, where they found multiple witnesses and the victim's vehicle pocked with bullet holes, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. The department said officers located the victim a short time later and transported him to a trauma center for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe the victim got into an argument with the shooter, who then opened fire and fled in a car, per the same preliminary police account.
Alston surrendered to authorities the following day at the Eastern District police station, where investigators also recovered the handgun linked to the shooting.
Alston Faces 10 Charges
Online court records reviewed by Patch show Alston facing 10 counts total, including first-degree attempted murder, second-degree attempted murder, and first-degree assault.
A Busy Stretch for Eastern District Detectives
The Pasadena shooting arrived amid a run of violent incidents keeping Eastern District detectives occupied. Two days later, on October 11, detectives opened a separate investigation into an armed robbery in nearby Arnold, where a masked gunman confronted a Verizon store employee outside a business, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said. In a Pasadena road-rage incident last month, officers arrested a suspect and recovered a 9mm handgun from a wood line off the roadway, as Hoodline previously reported.
Contact Shootings Declined Countywide
Anne Arundel County police statistics show contact shootings dropped 19 percent in 2025, falling to 13 incidents from 16 the year before.
The shooting marks at least the second gun-related incident along the Pasadena-area beat in recent months that Eastern District officers have had to untangle. It remains an open question whether prosecutors will lay out what sparked the initial dispute between Alston and the victim when the bail hearing proceeds.
