Hailie Jade is turning the day the Detroit Lions host the Minnesota Vikings into a party, announcing a Just a Little Shady tailgate at Union Assembly set for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 1, 2026. The 30-year-old podcast host, who is Eminem's daughter, will co-headline the event with Brittany Zilli, offering fans a meet-and-greet before the Lions kick off against the Vikings at Ford Field at 1 p.m. that same day.
Hailie Jade announced the tailgate on social media on October 20, 2026, according to The Detroit News. Tickets are on sale now for $45, and the event description promises complimentary food and drinks, music, on-site gifting, and game-day activities, along with what organizers call Detroit football, good vibes, amazing company, and an unusual tailgate experience. Food for the gathering will come from Mom's Spaghetti, Eminem's restaurant attached to the same Union Assembly building.
A Building Built Around a Lyric
Mom's Spaghetti traces its name back to the opening lyrics of Eminem's 2002 hit Lose Yourself, which became the first hip-hop track in history to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song on March 23, 2003, as detailed by American Songwriter. Co-writer Luis Resto accepted the Oscar at the ceremony while Eminem reportedly slept through the broadcast, having assumed he had no shot at winning.
The restaurant itself started small, as a limited pop-up food stand in December 2017 at The Shelter inside St. Andrew's Hall to coincide with the release of Eminem's album Revival, per CNN. That pop-up later toured major festivals including Coachella, Firefly, and Governors Ball before Mom's Spaghetti opened its permanent brick-and-mortar location inside Union Assembly at 2131 Woodward Avenue on September 29, 2021, a partnership between Eminem, his manager Paul Rosenberg, and the Metro Detroit-based Union Joints restaurant group, according to Hypebeast.
From Pandemic Meals to Pre-Game Hub
The building has a philanthropic history, too. In April 2020, during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, Eminem and the Marshall Mathers Foundation teamed up with Union Joints to deliver hundreds of free Mom's Spaghetti meals to frontline healthcare workers at Henry Ford Hospital and Detroit Medical Center, with food containers featuring Shady Records logos and pre-printed labels thanking frontline caregivers, CNN reported.
Union Assembly and Mom's Spaghetti sit less than half a mile from Ford Field, according to the Ticketmaster Blog, making the building a natural pre-game stop for fans walking to Lions home games. Upstairs from the restaurant is The Trailer, an 8 Mile-themed retail space decorated like a vintage 1980s trailer that holds only eight customers at a time and displays exclusive Eminem memorabilia, including his Robin costume from the 2002 Without Me music video. Hailie Jade used that same space for an August pop-up for her podcast's 5th season, a launch celebrating Just a Little Shady's continued growth since it debuted in 2022.
A Media Brand Built on Football Roots
Hailie Jade has steadily built her own identity beyond being known as Eminem's daughter. She launched Just a Little Shady in 2022. Her podcast co-host, Brittany Ednie, has been a regular presence alongside her.
Her personal life has drawn attention alongside her career moves. Hailie Jade married her college sweetheart Evan McClintock in May 2024, per The Knot. Less than a year later, she gave birth to her first child, a son named Elliot Marshall McClintock, on March 14, 2025, choosing his middle name as a direct homage to her father, whose given name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, CNN reported.
The Mathers family's ties to Lions football run deep. Eminem co-opened the 2024 NFL Draft in downtown Detroit alongside NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on April 25, 2024, taking the stage in front of 150,000 fans, as reported by The Mirror US. He then announced a surprise appearance by Lions players, including Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
With kickoff against the Vikings set for 1 p.m. on November 1, the Just a Little Shady tailgate gives fans a two-hour window beforehand to grab food, meet the hosts, and soak in the game-day buzz just steps from Ford Field.
