Hard Rock Hotel San Diego lists Haunted Manor for Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. the following morning. The 21-and-up event is planned across three floors of the hotel at 207 5th Ave., with four stages, seven rooms, more than 15 DJs and 60,000 square feet of event space, according to KPBS and FOX 5 San Diego & KUSI News.
The hotel’s five-space plan spans indoor and outdoor areas: the Graveyard is on the rooftop, Cursed Waters is at the pool deck, and the Haunted Ballroom, Forbidden Library and Secret Door are additional parts of the event. The layout and experiences are described by organizers and listed in the San Diego Tourism Authority’s event information.
Plan for the trip as well as the ticket
The Gaslamp Quarter is a busy setting for nightlife and other events. The City describes the district as a destination for performances, sporting events, restaurants and nightlife, and says it implemented designated rideshare pickup locations in July to address post-event crowding, traffic, pedestrian safety and emergency access, according to Inside San Diego.
A separate City policy prohibits Lyft and Uber pickups on 5th Avenue between Market and E streets from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, according to Inside San Diego. That area-wide rule overlaps with Haunted Manor’s listed hours; it is not event-specific transportation guidance. Attendees should check the City’s designated pickup arrangements rather than assume they can be collected directly on that stretch of 5th Avenue.
Admission and overnight options
The Tourism Authority listing says guests can purchase a Fast Pass for expedited entry and access to dedicated bars and lounges. VIP admission includes a reserved table, couch, daybed or cabana and bottle service. The hotel’s overnight package pairs a guest room with two event tickets and an in-room beverage amenity. Ticket and VIP-space availability may be limited, so the listing should be checked for current terms.
