A 73-year-old Harvey man is in custody after Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents searched his Maplewood Drive home and allegedly found a stash of child sexual abuse material along with multiple sex dolls, one of them described as an anatomically accurate representation of a prepubescent female. Jay Pilipovich was arrested on Oct. 23 and booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, where bond information remained unavailable as the investigation continued.

The case began with a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagging an internet search for child sexual abuse material, according to WGNO. That tip led agents to a search warrant at the residence that officials said belonged to Pilipovich, where they say they uncovered at least 100 images depicting children ranging from infancy to 12 years old.

What Agents Say They Found Inside the Home

Beyond the images, investigators located multiple sex dolls during the search, including one described as an anatomically accurate representation of a prepubescent female, per a release detailed by EIN Presswire. The same account states that Pilipovich admitted during a post-Miranda interview to possessing child sexual abuse material. On Oct. 23, he was taken into custody and transported to Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, where he was booked on an outstanding warrant.

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office shared the arrest on Facebook, flagging it as breaking news out of Harvey. A graphic attached to the announcement credited the arrest to the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and listed the allegations as possession of a child sex doll and possession of child sexual abuse material, under Attorney General Liz Murrill's office. As with all criminal allegations, Pilipovich is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

A Growing Pattern Across Louisiana

Pilipovich's arrest follows a similar case out of Bossier City earlier this year, when 32-year-old Herald Francisco Huete Vivas was booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility. According to the report detailed by the same account's reporting partner, Huete Vivas faced 579 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material, two counts of producing it, and one count tied to possessing, trafficking or importing a child sex doll, per KPLC-TV. Agents in that case said an account linked to Huete Vivas contained 581 files depicting abuse material, and his bond was later set at $750,000.

Under Louisiana law, trafficking a child sex doll covers knowingly manufacturing, distributing, selling, transferring, advertising, providing, shipping or possessing such an item with intent to distribute, sell, ship or transfer it, according to the Louisiana Legislature. It is not yet clear what specific charges prosecutors have filed against Pilipovich.

Investigation Remains Open

No bond amount has been disclosed for Pilipovich, and officials say the investigation remains ongoing. The Louisiana Attorney General's Office has not indicated whether additional charges or evidence are expected as the case moves forward.
