East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers provides information about how to submit tips.
Ways to share information
Crime Stoppers accepts tips from people with information. The organization’s contact page lists 877-363-8477 and **TIPS (8477). Its tip instructions also say information can be texted with the keyword ETTIPS to 738477, submitted through the P3 TIPS app or sent online. Crime Stoppers says tips can be anonymous. Calls to its tip line do not generate caller ID and are not recorded, according to its contact page.
Federal requirement
The FBI’s 2025 NCIC statistics state that agencies are required by federal law to enter missing-person records for people under 21 into the NCIC Missing Person File. That requirement does not establish what steps were taken in Rosales’s case.
A separate Knoxville case offers a local point of comparison, not a guide to Rosales’s circumstances: WATE reported that a 14-year-old boy was found safe in March 2025 after Knoxville police publicized his disappearance. The teenager, case and outcome were different; one incident does not indicate what will happen in Rosales’s case.
