Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is set to open its first-ever South Metro Atlanta shop at The Avenue Peachtree City on Nov. 5, bringing free scoops, exclusive merchandise and a shot at a year's worth of ice cream to the new location at 232 City Circle. The grand-opening celebration runs from 6 to 10 p.m., with the first 50 people in line walking away with exclusive Jeni's swag.
The announcement comes straight from the shopping center itself, which confirmed that “Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is opening its first-ever shop in South Metro Atlanta,” according to The Avenue Peachtree City. Guests who show up for the opening night party can expect free scoops all night long, and the celebration doubles as a chance to win a serious prize: five lucky attendees will score free Jeni's ice cream for an entire year, amounting to 52 scoops each.
Entering that giveaway takes a little prep work. Guests need to download the Jeni's app, join Jeni's Splendid Rewards and scan their rewards app at the event itself, per the venue's event listing. The shop's exact address, 232 City Circle in Peachtree City, Georgia 30269, is confirmed on Jeni's own site.
A Local Owner With Deep Jeni's Roots
The new shop will be run by local franchise partner Missy Moon, whose connection to the brand goes back decades. “I've been a fan for more than 20 years,” Moon said, according to thecitymenus.com. Her arrival in Peachtree City fits into a broader shift for the Ohio-founded ice cream maker, which announced an expansion into franchising in September 2025 aimed at bringing its “Fellowship Model” to more communities, according to a PR Newswire release from Jeni's.
Under that franchise model, partners receive support ranging from site selection and store design to training, operational systems and marketing tools, the release states. Jeni's was founded in 2002 by James Beard Award-winning ice cream maker Jeni Britton, per the same release.
What's On the Menu
The Peachtree City shop is expected to rotate through at least 20 flavors at any given time, the site's report notes. Opening-day staples will include fan favorites like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake and Double Dough, while a holiday lineup will bring back returning favorites such as White Chocolate Peppermint, Pistachio Macaron, Boozy Eggnog, Cranberry Panettone with Chocolate Sprinkles, Black Tie and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
For shoppers who can't make it into the shop, Jeni's pints are also sold in the freezer aisle at retailers including Whole Foods, Publix and Safeway, as well as online, the outlet reports.
Conflicting Counts on Jeni's National Footprint
Just how big Jeni's has grown nationally depends on which account you read. The site covering the Peachtree City opening reports that “today, Jeni's has more than 90 scoop shops across 30+ cities nationwide,” while a separate report from the Post and Courier states that Jeni's “currently has a total of 30 locations nationwide.” The two figures have not been reconciled.
Jeni's has announced plans for a Columbia, South Carolina, location, according to the Post and Courier's reporting. The planned Columbia shop would mark Jeni's fourth location in South Carolina, though as of that report the company had not yet announced opening dates for any of the new shops, including Columbia, telling customers to “stay tuned for more details.” The City Menus reported on October 15 that Peachtree City's opening date was set for Nov. 5, giving South Metro Atlanta a firm date while other markets still wait on word.
