Jerry Seinfeld is swapping marquees on the Las Vegas Strip. After a 23-year run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the comedian is launching a brand new residency at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas in 2027, with his first shows scheduled for just before the Super Bowl.
The residency kicks off with three performances from Feb. 11 to Feb. 13, 2027, according to Variety, with shows set for 8 p.m. on Feb. 11 and Feb. 12 and two performances, at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., on Feb. 13. That stretch lands right around Super Bowl weekend. The run is part of a 12-performance residency that continues with three more dates in June and three in October, marking Seinfeld's first shows ever at the Encore Theater.
Seinfeld's June dates are scheduled for 8 p.m. on June 10 and June 11, followed by 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows on June 12, per the same Variety report. His October shows follow an identical pattern: 8 p.m. performances on Oct. 28 and Oct. 29, then 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows on Oct. 30. Wynn Las Vegas and AEG Presents confirmed the booking, with AEG Presents Las Vegas Senior Vice President Bobby Reynolds saying, as reported by News 3 Las Vegas, “we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Jerry Seinfeld to Encore Theater.”
Tickets, and a Conflict Over the On-Sale Date
Fans hoping to grab seats should note a discrepancy in reporting on when tickets actually go on sale. Variety reported that tickets to all of Seinfeld's Las Vegas shows go on sale at Ticketmaster.com on Friday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, while News 3 Las Vegas reported that tickets for the first 12 shows go on sale Friday, Nov. 6, at Ticketmaster.com. Both outlets agree tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster, but the exact on-sale date remains unclear based on available reporting.
Seinfeld's new Vegas chapter closes the book on an extraordinary run at Caesars Palace. He opened at the Colosseum on May 2, 2003, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and his 23-year stint there became the longest of any headliner at the venue, surpassing even Celine Dion, Rod Stewart and Frank Sinatra. Dion, for comparison, performed a record 1,141 shows at the Colosseum during her own historic residency there.
A Record-Setting Caesars Palace Run
Caesars Palace itself had already recognized Seinfeld's place in its history. A 2023 statement from Caesars Entertainment declared that Seinfeld had cemented himself as the longest-running superstar headliner in the resort's history, performing in the 4,300-seat Colosseum. The comedian topped 100 shows at the venue in September 2024, a milestone night that included George Wallace joining him on stage; Wallace has said he was best man at Seinfeld's wedding and is the father of Seinfeld's children, according to the Review-Journal's reporting.
The Encore Theater booking also fills a notable gap in Wynn's entertainment lineup. Sebastian Maniscalco had played the venue for six years and more than 200 shows before departing, leaving a star-headliner void that Seinfeld's arrival now addresses. Seinfeld, who created the sitcom that bears his name, has headlined on the Strip for more than two decades, and this new residency extends that streak into a new venue entirely.
Seinfeld isn't the only act bringing a splashy residency to Las Vegas in 2027. LL Cool J is planning an 11-date Rock the Bells residency at MGM Park celebrating hip-hop culture, according to Variety, signaling that the Strip's residency scene remains a major draw for legacy performers even as venues shuffle their headliners.
